We’re working with a family-run mixed farming business near Dalby, QLD, operating over 7,000ha across dryland and irrigation, along with cattle breeding and a feedlot. Crops include wheat, barley, oats, chickpeas, sorghum, corn and cotton.
They’re after a reliable, hands-on Assistant Cropping Manager to help keep the operation running efficiently.

The role
- Work alongside the Cropping Manager and team
- Support spraying program and operate machinery (incl. boomspray)
- Assist with irrigation (syphons)
- Help train and guide staff
- General maintenance and upkeep of plant and infrastructure
- Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient work environment
What you’ll need
- Clear, practical communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- A can-do attitude and willingness to get in and get the job done
- Pride in your work with tidy habits and attention to detail
- Ability to lead by example and support others
- Solid record keeping skills
- John Deere GPS experience
- 4+ years broadacre cropping experience
- Manual driver’s licence (HC/MC a bonus)
- Irrigation experience advantageous
