We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established agricultural operation in the Ballarat region.
Working predominantly with CASE and New Holland machinery, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of workshop-based work and field service work across local farming operations.
The Role
This position focuses primarily on servicing and repairing headers and fronts. While there is workshop work involved, the majority of your time will be spent in the field, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs directly on farms. More often than not, work is completed from farmers’ machinery sheds rather than a traditional workshop environment.
Duties Include:
- Servicing and repairing CASE and New Holland machinery
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing headers and fronts
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Scheduled maintenance and preventative servicing
- Attending breakdowns and conducting field repairs
- Maintaining service records and workshop standards
- Working independently and as part of a team
To Be Considered, You Will Need:
- Previous experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Experience working on agricultural machinery
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Contactable work references
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
