We are seeking a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established agricultural operation based in Katherine, Northern Territory.
This is a long-term position for a capable and reliable tradesperson who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping machinery operating safely and efficiently.
You will work across a broad range of agricultural machinery and equipment. The successful applicant must be comfortable working as part of a team while also having the confidence and initiative to complete tasks autonomously.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs
- Carrying out preventative maintenance
- Attending to breakdowns as required
- Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
- Ensuring machinery is kept safe, reliable and operational
- Working collaboratively with the wider team
- Managing assigned tasks independently when required
About You
To be considered, you must:
- Be a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Have experience servicing and repairing agricultural or heavy machinery
- Possess strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Be able to work effectively within a team
- Be confident working autonomously
- Have a practical approach and strong attention to detail
- Be reliable, safety-conscious and well organised
- Hold a current driver’s licence
