We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Stockman/Overseer to join our integrated mixed grain, cattle breeding, backgrounding and feedlotting family business 65 km south-west of Dalby. The ideal candidate must possess excellent horsemanship and cattle handling skills and a proven ability to manage all aspects of mustering with horses, yard work, and property maintenance.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Capable Horseman and stockman
- Mustering with horses/working dogs and all facets of yard work
- General wear and tear property maintenance
- Strong communication skills and a robust work ethic
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
- Must have initiative and a proactive approach to tasks
- A genuine passion for the agricultural and cattle industry
- Flexible attitude and willingness to take on various tasks
- Strong record keeping skills
- Participation in feedlot tasks as required
- Own horses and working dogs essential
- Minimum five year’s experience within the cattle industry, preferably in a breeding and background operation.
