Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the feedlot across livestock, feeding, infrastructure and compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and support the livestock team across daily feedlot operations
– Oversee animal health, arrivals, inductions, treatments, drafting and dispatch
– Assist with bunk calling, feeding, batching and milling
– Monitor and maintain stock water systems and feedlot infrastructure
– Coordinate machinery use and maintenance requirements
– Maintain accurate records across systems, including Stockaid, FY3000, Feedbunk and Digi-Star
– Assist with maintaining NFAS, EPA and WHS compliance requirements
About You:
– Calm, practical nature with excellent people skills
– Previous feedlot experience preferred but not essential
– Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet
– Current driver’s licence required
– Strong communication and teamwork abilities
– Experience with feedlot software systems is advantageous, or a willingness to learn
– Strong passion for animal welfare and livestock care
