Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee land preparation and planting to maximise yields.
  • Manage irrigation systems to ensure water efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor soil health, fertilisation, pest, weed, and disease control.
  • Coordinate harvesting operations to optimise quality and yield.
  • Lead and develop farm managers, agronomists, operators, and seasonal workers.
  • Manage farm machinery maintenance and resource deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor costs, and track financial performance.
  • Engage with suppliers, contractors, agronomists, and industry partners.

About You:

  • Experience in intensive row cropping and broadacre farming
  • Previous management experience or a leading hand ready to step up
  • Strong practical ability to operate and troubleshoot farming machinery
  • Skilled communicator with excellent organisational skills
  • Positive leadership style, capable of cultivating a supportive and productive team environment
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused

What’s on Offer:

  • A senior leadership role in a large-scale, well-established farming business
  • Quality four-bedroom accommodation is provided in St George, with on-farm living options available if preferred
  • A very attractive salary package, based on your skills and competency
  • A supportive, team-oriented culture

This role would ideally suit a motivated individual looking to advance their career into a senior management position while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day running of operations.
