We’re looking for an Experienced Stock Hand to join an 8,000-acre backgrounding and feedlot operation at Hannaford, QLD. This is a full-time position offering a great work-life balance, modern accommodation and the opportunity to become part of a supportive family-run business.
This role suits someone who is confident working with cattle, can work independently, takes pride in their work and is happy to lend a hand wherever needed.
The Role You’ll be involved in:
- Low-stress cattle handling and husbandry
- Mustering using quad bikes and buggies
- Monitoring livestock and assisting with day-to-day animal management
- General property maintenance
- Weekly servicing and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Operating a Hyundai loader and Claas tractor
- Fencing, waters and general station duties
- Occasional overnight camp outs when required

- 8,000-acre cattle property
- Approximately 2,000 head of cattle
- Backgrounding and feedlot enterprise
- Modern, well-maintained equipment and facilities
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cattle experience is essential
- Strong stock and animal husbandry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Manual driver’s licence essential
- MC licence highly regarded but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial
