An exciting opportunity has opened up for a reliable and driven Farm Hand to join a large-scale cropping operation based just outside Emerald, Queensland. This is a full-time, hands-on role working across 8,000 hectares of dryland and flood-irrigated country, with a focus on producing oats, wheat, and sorghum.

About the Role:
You’ll be part of a well-organised team responsible for keeping the cropping program on track. There’s no cattle work involved — it’s all about growing and crops, maintaining gear, and keeping the property in good shape.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Operating a fleet of modern John Deere machinery
- Assisting with flood irrigation across 1,000ha
- Handling basic servicing and mechanical upkeep
- Pitching in with general workshop and farm maintenance tasks
What You’ll Need:
- Broadacre cropping experience preferred
- Sound mechanical know-how and confidence with machinery
- Comfortable using GPS and tech-based systems
- A team-first attitude with the ability to work independently
- Good communication and time management skills
The Perks:
- Air-conditioned accommodation provided, with prepared meals
- Competitive pay and allowances
- Opportunities to grow and learn within a forward-thinking operation
