We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Maintenance Hand to join a property on the Darling Downs, located close to Toowoomba and local services. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, gardening, and general farm upkeep.
The Role
Duties will vary and be communicated on a regular basis. Tasks will include:
- Assisting with syphons to water cotton
- Adjusting pumps and keeping an eye on water levels
- Mowing, whipper snipping and general gardening using a zero-turn mower
- Spot spraying with a side-by-side
- Gardening and grounds maintenance around the homestead and sheds
- Basic mechanical work
- General farm hand and maintenance duties
- Carrying out repairs and attending to the everyday jobs that keep the property running smoothly
No two days are the same, and the role offers good variety.
About You
- Physically fit and motivated
- Clean and tidy habits with a strong work ethic
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work well in a team and also autonomously
- Previous farm maintenance, gardening, or handyman experience preferred
- Comfortable following direction and adapting to changing daily tasks
