Our client is currently seeking a skilled Farm Operations Manager to join their team on a large-scale irrigated and dryland cotton property located near Goondiwindi.
This permanent full-time position will involve assisting the Regional Farm Manager with the daily operational management of the property. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking long-term career growth within a progressive farming business.
Key Duties:
- Assist in the daily management and coordination of farm operations
- Lead and oversee farm staff and contractor activities
- Operate, maintain and service modern broadacre and irrigated farming machinery
- Support the planning and execution of farming programmes for both irrigated and dryland cotton
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards across the farm
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in irrigated and dryland broadacre farming operations
- Previous leadership experience managing staff in an agricultural setting
- High level of organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Sound mechanical aptitude for machinery operation and maintenance
- Current Driver’s Licence is essential
- Basic computer skills and an interest in agricultural technologies will be viewed favourably
