We’re looking for a dependable Feed Mill Hand to join a growing feedlot operation outside Katherine, Northern Territory. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys machinery, takes pride in their work and understands the importance of consistency and attention to detail.
As the operation continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with it.
Working as part of the feed team, you’ll be responsible for producing and processing cattle rations, operating the feed mill and associated machinery, and helping to keep the mill running safely and efficiently.
This is an important position within the operation, ensuring cattle receive quality feed every day.
Duties Include
• Operating the feed mill and associated equipment
• Mixing and processing cattle rations
• Operating loaders and other machinery
• Receiving and handling grain and feed commodities
• Conducting daily pre-starts and basic maintenance
•Monitoring feed quality and maintaining accurate records
• Keeping the mill and work areas clean and organised
• Working closely with the livestock and maintenance teams
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has
• Previous experience in a feedlot, feed mill, agriculture or a similar industry
• Experience operating loaders or agricultural machinery
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Good communication skills
• References relevant to the role
