Please note, this position does not involve the use of horses or dogs.

This is an exciting role where you’ll take ownership of a well-established feedlot, working closely with the team to keep things running smoothly while playing a key part in future growth.

The Role
Oversee and manage day-to-day feedlot and property operations, working closely with the owners, maintaining safety and systems standards, and continually developing your skills as a hands-on Feedlot Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the owners to plan and organise daily tasks, keep the team busy and supported, ensure work is done to a high standard, and oversee contractors
  • Lead by example, mentor the team, and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace
  • Keep cattle and feeding routines on track and maintain the site to a high standard
  • Plan and organise work, keep the team informed, and ensure safety systems and compliance are followed

About You

  • Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude
  • Someone who takes ownership, shows initiative, and gets on with the job
  • Confident in leading and coordinating staff, especially through periods of growth
  • Good with people and able to build a positive team environment
  • Hands-on and willing to be involved in day-to-day operations
  • Open to learning, feedback and continuous improvement
  • Experience with Livestock Junction is highly regarded

Requirements

  • Previous farming or feedlot management experience
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Additional licences and tickets an advantage
