I’m genuinely on the hunt for the right person for this role… and to be honest, I’m surprised it hasn’t been filled yet.

If you’re looking to step up, or you’re further out west and ready to get closer to town without losing the cattle side of things, this is worth a look.

The Opportunity

A practical, hands-on leadership role in a small, family-run feedlot where your experience actually matters and your input is valued.

You won’t get lost in a big system here. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day, working closely with management to keep things running smoothly and always looking for ways to improve.

The Role

  • Oversee daily feedlot operations
  • Maintain high standards of animal welfare and performance
  • Work closely with management on efficiencies and improvements
  • Lead by example on the ground

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being out on the ground and involved in day-to-day operations.

We’re Looking For

  • Solid cattle/feedlot experience
  • Good communication and a respectful, team-first attitude
  • Strong time management and initiative
  • Reliable, practical and able to think for yourself
  • Basic computer skills

What’s On Offer

  • Renovated 2-bedroom house on site (electricity included)
  • Competitive salary package – negotiable for the right person
  • Supportive team environment
  • A genuine chance to step up

Location

You’re based just outside Goondiwindi, which is a cracking country town.

  • Strong community with plenty going on
  • Great places to eat and socialise
  • Rugby League, AFL, Union, Gyms & Pilates
  • Good schools and medical facilities
  • Easy run to Toowoomba, and within reach of Brisbane or the coast

It’s an easy place to settle into.

A Few Things to Note

  • No horses used in the feedlot
  • No working dogs used

This is a genuine opportunity in a good operation. Whether you’re ready to step up or just ready for a change, it’s worth a conversation.
