We’re looking for a practical, reliable Groundsman / Handyman to join a well-run station not far from Moranbah and Clermont, QLD. If you enjoy variety in your day and take pride in keeping things neat, tidy and running smoothly, this could be the role for you.
Duties Include:
- Mowing lawns, slashing, spraying weeds, and whipper snipping
- Maintaining vacant cottages and slashing roadsides so the graders can access
- Servicing motorbikes and assisting with general repairs and upkeep
- Property infrastructure and water work – pump maintenance, engine checks, monitoring time clocks, welding, and setting up troughs
- Supplement feeding and possible grader operation (if experienced)
- General odd jobs and helping where needed
What’s On Offer:
- Daily rate: $250–$280, depending on experience
- Accommodation options:
• Couples – Two-bedroom cottage with an established garden and lawn (older style, but renovated and comfortable)
• Singles – Donga-style accommodation with king single bed and ensuite (compact, but functional) - Convenient station location near Moranbah and Clermont
- Supportive team and varied work environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in rural property maintenance or similar work
- Competence in basic mechanical and handyman tasks
- A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Driver’s licence and own vehicle
