We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team in a large farming operation located near the thriving community of Boomi. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and is integral to our success in both livestock and crop production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all facets of farming from crop production to livestock care, focusing on breeding sheep and trading cattle.
- Operate and maintain a variety of agricultural machinery including a CASE 4430 self-propelled sprayer, Hayes weedit, John Deere 8320R, Fendt 1162 track tractor, NDF planter, and BOSS planter.
- Participate in stock mustering using bikes and choppers.
Dryland Cropping:
- 12,000ha of dryland cropping, producing wheat, barley, cotton, chickpea, and sorghum.
Requirements:
- Proven farming experience.
- ChemCert qualification.
- Full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Truck licence beneficial but not essential; opportunities available for licence progression.
- Ability to work an average of 45 hours per week.
- Relevant work related references.
