We’ve recently welcomed some great new people to the team, and now we’re looking for a few more.

We’re looking for Pen Riders/Livestock People to join a well-run feedlot near Dalby. Previous feedlot experience is fantastic, but it’s not essential. If you’re confident around livestock, have the right attitude, a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team, they’re willing to train you.

This is a good opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with cattle and wants to build their skills within a supportive feedlot team.

The Role

  • Pen riding, livestock movements, drafting, induction, processing and hospital treatments
  • Monitor cattle health, identify issues early and administer treatments
  • Maintain accurate records using feedlot systems
  • Work within company procedures and protocols
  • Handle cattle using low-stress stock handling principles
  • Work safely and in line with WHS requirements

What They’re Looking For

  • Good livestock handling skills and confidence around cattle
  • A great attitude and someone who takes pride in their work
  • A genuine team player who works well with others
  • Willingness to learn, listen and take direction
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable, consistent and prepared to get in and do the job properly

Horses

  • Ideally, you’ll have 2 suitable horses
  • Don’t have your own horses? Plant horses are available
  • Horse and tack allowance provided
  • Feed and farrier services provided
