The Trangie-Nevertire Irrigation Scheme (TNIS), a member-owned, award-winning, and innovative irrigation entity, underwent significant modernisation from 2010-2014. Located near the Gin Gin weir in Trangie, Central NSW, TNIS provides both irrigation and Stock & Domestic water (TNSDS) to its members from the Macquarie River.
As we expand, we are looking to hire a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to oversee all operations within the Scheme. This challenging yet rewarding role comes with competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to and collaborate with the Scheme Manager to ensure consistent and reliable operations for TNIS & TNSDS members.
- Engage with members to resolve operational issues.
- Compile member water orders into bulk requests for WaterNSW, overseeing the subsequent water pumping and delivery.
- Manage water deliveries using VPN and SCADA systems.
- Coordinate with the team, assisting with various tasks and overseeing maintenance of Scheme infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Ability to work unsupervised in remote areas safely and reliably.
- Mechanical aptitude, computer proficiency, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Availability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
