We are currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand to join a large-scale irrigated and dryland cotton enterprise located in the Goondiwindi region of Queensland. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and can operate both independently and as part of a team.
Duties will include:
- Operating a broad range of modern John Deere machinery and implements
- Carrying out irrigated and dryland farming duties, including all facets of crop production excluding picking and harvesting.
- Assisting with irrigation scheduling and operation
- Machinery and property maintenance
- Supporting general day-to-day property operations as required
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Experience with modern tractors, planters, sprayers, and other farm machinery
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and literacy skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and work-related references
- Previous farming experience essential
