We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Truck Driver / Farm Hand to join our grain and cattle operation located on the outskirts of Toowoomba. This position involves transporting grain and other commodities to Allora and Toowoomba, along with assisting with various farm tasks. This role is casual initially, with the potential to become full-time. The successful candidate will report directly to the farm owner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MC trucks safely to transport significant amounts of grain and other commodities to Allora and Toowoomba.
- Handle tractor operations, spraying, and general farm maintenance when not driving.
- Maintain and operate New Holland tractors and headers.
- Perform welding and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety and operational protocols, including no smoking in farm equipment.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid MC truck licence with a clean driving record.
- Required to pass medical and police clearance checks.
- ChemCert accreditation preferred.
- Proven experience in operating tractors and farm machinery, especially spraying and harvesting equipment.
- Welding and mechanical skills are essential.
- Must have a driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle.
- Must be able to provide relevant references.
